I've had my Cricut Expression 2 for a while now....maybe 2 years. But I have only used it a handful of times 😔, I know, I know, sad! Well I recently got into it again and want to make things to sell and make some extra cash. My husband and I are on a set incomes so this will help pay off some medical bills. I've been practicing with vinyl. Not to difficult but still getting the hang of it. I made a few cups with initials on them, a wine class with an initial and first name. I also made a vase for my mom that says "If God is for us, who can be against us", well let me tell you that came out horrible! I should have cut each word separately buuttt I didn't....oops! It doesn't look too too bad, I guess.
The picture isn't great. But there it is. It was a difficult vase to work with since it was curved in in the middle. I also had a difficult time with the dollar tree brand contact paper I used to transfer the vinyl. It's called Clear Magic Cover. It would not pick up the cut out letters! So frustrating! Thankfully I had some Contact paper brand in my stash 😅! Worked MUCH better! I used the dollar tree brand on the first wine glass I made and had no issues with it...but don't use it for bigger projects.
Here is a picture of the wine glass I made. I currently only have baby blue, baby pink, black and dark blue vinyl, so I'm practicing with what I have. I liked the wine glass but I know it would have looked much better with different colors and different fonts. I ordered 20 different colored vinyl sheets from eBay, so hopefully that comes soon. My computer is horrible so I couldn't access other fonts from Cricut. Again, just working with what I have.
Good news is I recently ordered the new Cricut Explore Air! Woohoo! Can't wait to get it! The fact that I will be able to use my iPad to design is awesome since my computer is out of service 😒. I love using my iPad for everything so the face that Cricut designed it this ways is great!
I will post my future ventures with my Cricut machines in the future and let y'all know what tips and trick I learn along the way.
Thanks for stopping by! Take care and God bless!
